Bad lightning
Not much being added at the moment because most of my pics and things are on my other computer. Our wireless internet at home is out of action because of lightning that hit the house or very near and blew the fuse. Scared the life out of all of us with the bang. Also, something happened to the satellite dish, and we have no TV! Anyone who knows me will realise this is a disaster! We tried to watch a DVD last night instead and discovered that the DVD player fuse had also gone. So, Louise and I went back to the knitting....

Burnt marks on the sockets! Tripped circuit breakers and big sparks! What drama and excitement!!
Happy to report that BT are sending another internet box for free. And the satellite man came this morning - rather embarrassingly all he had to do was reboot the box and it worked fine (to squeals of delight from us in response to the strange flashing colours and lively sounds again). Unfortunately I think the DVD is a gonner though, a fuse change made no difference. You'll have to unpack another box in the garage and dig yours out Jane... :)
I'm going to do it this weekend. Will be all ready to go for Louise when she gets back from Taste Mark II.
